Okay, I now remember why I don't use Arch Linux or any of them, other than Debian Gnu/Linux, for that matter. Debian just outshines them all when it comes to software and I don't mean just fancy stuff. Manjaro has no gcal program, sure there is a cal but I want both of them especially gcal and there apparently isn't any weather-util program either. These are standard console based programs. It's probably why I'll switch the OS on my #pinephone to #Mobian eventually.

Just installed Mumble on my #pinephone take a look at the screenshots everything seems to be working and it's all native Linux. I installed Mumble via ssh and it showed up on the home screen. There are a few configuration hoops to jump through but everything worked out fine.

@fikran I could have done it any number of ways I could have done it via a terminal emulator on the home screen, some fancy gui package manager or such, but it just seemed easier to me to hook it up to my network and ssh right there from my desktop. As to your question about running Android apps? Why would I want to? However, I'm sure using one of those Linux to Android emulators could probably be used but I'm not sure there is enough stability for that sort of thing just yet. Thanks.

@jaycie why bother? Just start your own instance and pay the hosting company the $4-$10 a month and be done with it. plus if you're really good you can add other servers to the same instance. Such as a #writefreely blog, #xmpp server #mumble server and a host of other lightweight services. That's what I do. I even throw in an extra $5 to run a separate #Nextcloud server. Anyway, good luck.

@gemlog I don't think that kdeconnect is fully functional as of yet on the pinephone. It's functionality may still be immature. However, I'm still green on both #kdeconnect and the #pinephone, as of now, I still have some catching up to do. That is, reading documents and fishing around for conformation on the status.
