@SDF @darkuncle fun to see this. My first computing experience was on Decsystem 10. I don’t think I need to repeat that nowadays though…

@rss @mmasnick I agree. My thought is that he has friends at Google, and they are one of the few companies who could re-staff twitter and afford to rebuild and monetize it.

#Photography Spent a few days looking around Marrakech and taking pictures of the architecture. This is the amazing room we stayed in at Riad Daria.

@aka_pugs The SPARCstation 1 ran at 20MHz, a bit later we announced the SS1+ which was the same spec and price but ran at 25MHz. I got a cross call from a customer who had just ordered a bunch of SS1s and was cross that he didn’t know the SS1+ was coming. @xkcd Warning, I just spent an hour or so exploring Randall’s world, this is a cool game pretending to be a comic. View on web as it needs cursor keys.

@mark I hate nuclear because it’s uneconomic, and takes far too long to add more capacity. Decommissioning costs have been systematically underestimated.

@mark Agreed. You can set up a system that has the right kind of feedback loops and it will manage itself without any measurements.

@aka_pugs I have a Sun exabyte drive (and QIC11/24) and a system that still works, so I can read old archives. It’s in storage at the moment. If you have something you really want to get off tape let me know.
