The other week I learned that in a UK college the computer rooms are recording and listening for key words. My friends son was quizzed after saying the word BOM. He was asking a friend if they had included their Bill of Materials in their assignment. How is this even allowed?!

Festival conference starts tomorrow always one of my highlights of the year. Can’t attend too much this year though. But there is so much great stuff, if your into making and designing games this is the place to be this week!

@Metruzanca we need to encourage more women / girls to stay interested in stem and steam. Pay equality is a no brainer. Representation of who makes games versus who plays games is very much out of whack. So that’s why there is a work to get more of the player base represented in the making space. One of many reasons also Games can and have huge impact on society and so it’s really important that there is lots of diversity in the people that also create them.

@Metruzanca facts are very important yes. I should have been clearer I am mainly nodding towards the gender pay gap, although I have seen pay inequality. Running up that Hill by Kate Bush gets number one 36 years later. We have the 5th studio LP on vinyl from release, Kate is a favourite in our house, for decades. And Stranger Things should have only been one series anyway. 🥳😜

It’s just absolutely wrong. Households are struggling to pay to heat their homes and yet the fossil fuel companies are reporting record profits. I don’t know how the people that work for these companies can sleep at night, disgusting.

@aral yeah it’s a fantastic great game new port to ps4/5 was original made with phaser JS engine then ported to Unity and that subsequently has led to more releases if spend a lot of time on steamdeck on it but not mastered some of the stuff I have seen online

@aral I would suggest it’s more of a spin on the twin stick shooter than a rougelike so if you like it then if you can check out Nex Machina which is a full on twin stick shooter and insanely fun
