@xerz The top line should be visible. 38% a German firm. 24% Hitachi. Rest of the big players are foreign.Personally I always find it weird that Japan has effectively no geothermal elec gen.

You can have a regulated market ensuring competition and accountability for externalities, you have a planned economy by the government, or you have a set of monopolies. Economic horseshoe theory suggests the only difference between the second and third is who is in charge.

@alter_kaker @futurebird For the same reason you don't put scarce electoral resources into deep red R+25 districts trying to be a lo e liberal voice in a deep conservative setting is like trying to hold back the tide alone. Moving to reddish purple and engaging is more effective and provides like-minded folks for some of your socialising.
