@BowsacNoodle @Shadowman311 It wouldn't necessarily be very easy to learn you Google account name through Mastodon just because you downloaded the app through the Play Store, but personally I run my phone without Google apps entirely because I don't even want Google to know what apps I do or do not use.

@BowsacNoodle @Shadowman311 Unfortunately it isn't very easy to get started because you may need to learn how to root your device, install a custom recovery and then a custom ROM depending on your device. I'm running LineageOS, which has decent support and documentation for a lot of devices. XDA Developers forum is also a good resource.

@natsock @Hampture I haven't been on their instance, but I've listened to the show a bit and I wouldn't describe those guys as right-wing. I don't think they would describe themselves that way either. They style themselves as something like disinterested media critics, which I think is probably a fair description of their ideological leanings. Dvorak in particular is half a Bay Area lib even though he doesn't think so.
