       @stux You may say it's "misinformation", but speculation was bound to happen. The way, how the meeting with meta representatives went, was shady at best. Also please start to account for the perspectives, where people are coming from and how others may percieve your actions (when in doubt, ask questions). I do understand, that seemingly unjustified criticism hurts, but being that reactionary and quick with your judgement about others, only causes more problems than solving them.

       @andy @stux Thanks! Somehow this is considered "childish" by some.One cannot make a statement about letting instances be free, while also claiming that Instances who make their free choice of defederation on their own terms and principles are "dictationship".

       @pixel ah, makes sense. Funnily enough, a huge chunk of my TL seems to focus on Privacy Policy Semantics and magical thinking about the information meta would be able to pull out via the APProtocol.

       @link why? There is no shame in not noticing or not being interested into some games.Conterexample: I never was much interested into Fire Emblem (Three Houses was my first and, so far, only game of that series). So, it just happens.

       @link Also: Many Xenoblade Fans are a bit weird about external recognition, partly bc they were literally wooing Nintendo into localizing the first Xenoblade Chronicles (as well as two other unrelated games whose names I forgot, sry) to western audiences. It originally was Japan-exclusive.

       @gvwilson I know about the very recent shutdown of Retrospring (a Q&A website), afaik bc it got too big to maintain.The developer and admin of that site made some blog posts about it that went unpublished (except: https://blog.retrospring.net/retrospring-is-shutting-down-on-1st-march-2025), but maybe @pixel can give some insights, if he's interested to talk about the process. I'm sure he's already working on his post-mortem either way. :P
