@DeeGLloyd @giulia2575 If I may add: the #Mastodonapp runs quite smooth on iOS though, but lacks some QoL options.#Metatextapp is nice, but hasn't been updated a while due to the dev's health issues.#IceCubesApp is my current favorite, but does need its cache cleared at intervals, as it can stutter with extensive use.(edit: added hashtags)

@Alice I learned that following hashtags is often better than following a person, who might not always be posting stuff I necessarily need to see. This type of curating is a more healthier way fill in the timeline.

@Alice @knapjack Agreed! Do what is best for you.I myself don’t like the follow-for-follow that was so prevalent in the bird app. Up to a point where some had an auto-reply ready to thank new followers. It felt like farming huge number of followers was more important than either engaging with the person or content.Follow me if you think I am interesting enough. Or don’t; I’m fine with either as I usually boost and don’t post much myself.

@thomasbosboom @colinpurrington Can confirm this approach was never taught to me as well. I did get taught to always check mirror and look over the shoulder for any approaching traffic, like bicycles, when leaving the vehicle. As mentioned, our awareness that we share the road with bicycles is taught in our early upbringing.I learned from @notjustbikes and found out from experience that in other car-dependent countries, bicyclists are seen as a nuisance or afterthought.

@stux It will not be actively enforced yet. That will come somewhere next year, according to local media. But it is a welcome measure to make streets safer.As a e-bicyclist myself, I also would like to have see law enforcement tackle illegally souped-up e-bikes that zoom around way above 25kph speeds within city limits.Some inbred half-wits even deliberately scare people by braking at high speeds next to pedestrians. Their bikes should be taken away from them along with a hefty fine.

@anderspuck @EuromaidanPress I saw several posts already about russian channels claiming F-16s are already in active service in Ukraine. But while I hope this is a surprise appearance, I’ll believe it when officially verified by more reputable sources.Whatever those jets got hit by, it is a nice tally and a great job done by Ukrainian air defense.

What is striking is that when you look up the hashtag #mastochist the accounts that were affected seem to be mostly dutch-language users.What was this app and its usage? A Mastodon client or UI integration?Anyway, revoke the app permission through your Settings > Accounts > Authorized apps.If you cannot see Mastochist in your list, try Mastodon Super Tools.
