I've been on Mastodon for 3 months now, so have been reflecting..one totally unexpected experience has been seeing some accounts that I thought of as valuable on Twitter move to Mastodon and suddenly strike me as somewhat toxic:contra to the (supposedly widespread and deeply ingrained) "fundamental attribution error" it seems I attributed certain types of responses wholly to the toxic platform (environment), not the individualsis that a thing? a by-content interaction for this "bias"?

I have no issues whatsoever with people wanting to be on Bluesky; in fact, if it hastens the demise of Twitter/X which now seems beyond repair, I’m personally all for it- as far as politics, cat pictures, thoughts on the world in general etc are concernedbut I don’t understand how moving *science discourse* to a for profit, invite only, platform is in any way compatible with the goals of open science and science reform.am I missing something?
