       @notjustbikes I concur in seeing those SUVs and trucks as a murderous nuisance in citys. But the proposed solution for the suburbanites – to buy smaller cars – is none. You need an accessible, reliable, affordable, frequent, and fast, public transport and a complete biking infrastructure.

       @malteengeler Kapitalismus hat sich in der Vergangenheit durch den Privatbesitz von Produktionsmitteln etabliert. Ob Grundbesitz oder Bergrechte oder Handelsrechte, ob Geheimwissen um Produktion oder später Patente: Was mal Gemeinbesitz und Gemeinwissen war wurde zunehmend privatisiert und zum Privileg.Energiewende und Kreislaufwirtschaft droht nun viel diesen kapitalen Besitzes wertlos zu machen. Schürfrechte, Tankerflotten, Pipelines… alles tot.

       @deutschlandfunk dabei zeigt Erfahrung aus dem Ländern, in denen das gemacht wurde, dass einer Zerschlagung der Bahn immer ein Niedergang aus Profitgier folgt. Und der Wiederaufbau anschließend nicht aus dem Profit, sondern aus Steuern bezahlt wird.

       @lerk Mittlerweile mindestens ebenso wichtiges Argument für die Tram: Der Bau geht viel, VIEL schneller als bei U-Bahn und auch bei Magnetschwebebahn.Außerdem braucht Tramstreckenbau nur einen Bruchteil an Ressourcen und ist bei minimalem Aufwand barrierearm – und wer's wagt der Tram im Verkehr konsequent Vorrang zu geben, hat praktisch keinen Temponachteil. Und kann bei Normalspur ggf. mit Bahntrassen kombinieren.Gruß aus #Karlsruhe, das es leider auch nicht konsequent macht.
