@stux dat ziet er niet best uit! Hopelijk zien mensen met dit soort beelden beter in dat de kosten om klimaatverandering tegen te gaan wel meevalt ten opzichte van niks doen. Niet dat deze windhoos per definitie een resultaat is daarvan, dit gebeurt. Maar dit gaat naar alle zekerheid vaker voorkomen in de toekomst.

@linmob you can perhaps work on PostMarketOS for Fairphone? I mean that FP probably would support choice. Their hardware platform is also amazing due to modularity and sustainability.

@linmob Android is Linux as well. If our goal is to make Linux on mobile go mainstream, then let's not ignore this fact. The more people say Android is not Linux, but this buggy and UI mess of an OS *is* Linux, the more resistance there will be.A feasible transition from Android to a more pure open Linux OS would be a consistent open launcher and browser that supports PWA. Then the UI experience is the same and no dependency on an app store.In any case, we need Android, let's not bash it.

@bitwarden PeerTube, however, I don't use it. Probably best to use them all and advertise PeerTube in the video. Maybe then it will get the attention and content it deserves, then more users might come.

@Suiseiseki Android is great and we should advertise it as Linux. If people realize they are Linux users already, they might try out more Linux stuff. That's what I'm trying to say.So let's include Android in mobile Linux news. While also making other projects known and say why a fully open source OS, built on open standards, has benefits.Otherwise we'll be forever stuck at a ~1% desktop adoption and even less on mobile devices (when talking about truly open Linux OSs).

@Suiseiseki The point is, we need to warm up people to using Linux. Not make them feel they use something that's only for geeks/nerds. Keeping the system open is vital for many reasons. But let's not waste this opportunity to tell billions of people they are using Linux. Android will likely use Fuchsia in the near future...

@helices unlike religion, science is based on empirical evidence, which should be reproducible by others. It's not based on faith, bias or opinions. Science can still be wrong, but that needs proof.
