@kaniini Any time someone tells me what to do with some kind of authoritative tone, I mentally append "or I will use what limited influence I have to attempt to make some kind of negative impact on a limited portion of your existence"It doesn't change their tone but it keeps things in context for me.

So remember how about a month ago I got enraged at the HOA leaving a notice on our bins that we were getting a fine for being a couple hours late bringing them in?Neighbor got such a notice today. I took a closer look at it and it's been reworded to "We are asking the HOA to levy a fine". The notice we got was far more deterministic in "You ARE getting a fine".It wasn't even the HOA leaving those, it was some pissy neighbor or similar thing.

So PGE sent me a text message today going "We may be shutting your power off for up to 7 days due to safety concerns".That's it. Just that.The concerns? The same thing that got them sued into too-big-to-fail limbo last year that they still haven't fixed.I don't know what I'm gonna do if that happens. They've already gone in on telling people they're not culpable for damaged caused by, you know, leaving people without power for a week and I just dropped a ton of quid on AGDQ so I can't just gallivant off on a vacation to somewhere with power :/

So PG&E was getting so much bad press from their tweets regarding the deliberate outage in California that they started having either PR or Twitter support people tweet their PSAs and RTed them instead of tweeting them themselves.It's an old marketing strat: attach a face to bad news to try to minimize the backlash from more empathic people. It largely worked in this case. 150 replies of vitriol when PGE tweeted something; 3 when they boosted an employee tweeting the same thing.Gross though. Cowards.

PG&E delivered an update to people anxious to hear if they'll have power again any time soon (and hence on limited phone batteries) in the form of a f**king 35 minute press conference video.No transcription, no text chaser to summarize. Watch the video or just be left in the dark.Oh and BTW it was 35min of their PR person covering the company's arse and no actual restoration ETAs.Do these clowns grasp what it is they did to 2m people, or is this some sort of sadistic flex they're pulling?

@kaniini As long as I can have a different name and avatar in the decentralized yiff dungeon than I do in the decentralized speedrunner chat and the decentralized professional workgroup, it puts it a good step ahead of Discord.Also probably a good thing to be able to turn the teledildonics off in the decentralized speedrunner chat. As a wee thing dabbling in occultism and paganism a fairly Wiccan mantra often touted was "Live a magical life". There's many definitions on how to do this but for me it was largely a self-determined path.It comes down to trust instincts, check in with feelings even when I don't think I'm having them, figure out how things that don't usually "feel"... feel. How does this day feel, how do Mondays feel, how do full moons feel, how does standing in the presence of this person feel?Falsely attribute patterns where none may exist, ritualize them, see if the rituals actually make things better, or even just make them feel better. Try other people's rituals the same way.Most importantly, don't care that to most people I'm playing witch. More than once "playing witch" has had a real positive impact on my day, or more. Don't try to peek too hard under the curtain, accept a lot of what I feel are subconscious cues and dismantling them will taint that perception.In my wanderings I've found this most closely akin to eclectic chaos magick or Thanatheros sect. The latter is a bit too rigid for me though, which is funny considering they're not at all. They're rigid in their insistence you not adhere to anything; I guess?
