@matt Last year, I dealt with a hardware issue on my Philips Hue recessed lights that would faintly glow when turned to 0% brightness.After months of exchanging them, calling electricians and talking with CS and going on Reddit, it turns out they got a firmware update to fix it.And I worry for those people who couldn't see the issue because it affected 100% of the product line. But hey, it's now a thing of the past.

@matt Oh yeah, but I just figured that the code for these things would've been the first thing they checked in some kind of hardware QA internally.But yeah, electronics get complicated quickly now. Even a simple surge protector is complicated. (And also the bane of cruise ships)

@figmentjedi @hastin TCGs are no longer about playing the game. That's a 100% afterthought.It was depressing watching SOTMK players 'play' the game by simply just holding up a photo of their binder to a random 3x3 page to cast an attack. They had to modify a lot to prevent people cheesing for free cards.

@PhilGastwirth But a while back I chucked most of my Lego boxes since those were just taking up room and already ripped open and damaged. Kept the manuals, of course, but that's it.Also donated about 90% of my old gaming magazines, threw out Game Informer, since those are less than worthless. Kept my Nintendo Power issues bagged and sorted.

Walking out of Disneyland in the noisy tram area last night. A woman was pushing a stroller. She got a phone call and put it on speakerphone and complained that she couldn't hear.I will never understand people who only talk on a phone like it's a magical talking dining plate.

Just saw another "I have Covid, and now I can't come out to this convention" post. And I'm wondering... why did we never see these for other diseases?Like, "I got the flu, sorry, can't come."Is it because you still want to go while sick? Or is it because it's trendy to say you caught Covid? Or do you think other diseases don't spread if you take enough cough medicine?

Did you know Disneyland erected the walls to remove the rocks in Tomorrowland closer to the opening of Disneyland in 1955 than today?It's not true, but it sure feels like like. It'll be 5 years come August.
