@tomjennings That's awesome! You might have some insight into this then, in the officially produced MS-DOS disk there was actually some deleted MS-DOS development code for the Dot left in the "blank" space.Does this seem at all like what you may have done with the machine?

Today I pretty much finished archiving everything I got with and for the Dot!You can find it all here: https://archive.org/search?query=creator%3A%22Computer+Devices+Inc.%22I even managed to get my hands on and scan a complete technical service manual for the machine!

I was just able to archive the lost Cauzin Softstrip drivers for Macintosh!https://archive.org/details/cauzin-softstrip-macintoshI believe that means we now have all driver platforms preserved for that wonderfully odd piece of hardware!@fozztexx You might appreciate thisI don't do a lot of Mac stuff so it's ripped as flux and then decoded using gw's `mac.400` format in a DSK because it looked single sided. If anyone tests if it loads I would love to know if it's a good rip.

Sometimes properly organizing isn't always the best option.2024 me knew that 2025 me wouldn't remember that this is the "right" XP ISO.

Oh yeah, I'm about to enter a new era of CD ripping capabilities! This is an Aleratech AutoPublisher LS, a disc robot meant for duplicating disks. It is just a USB serial device though that takes commands to control it. This was done as a test with the original software in an XP VM.I need to figure out how to snoop the serial commands to control it myself for ripping. I'm open to recommendations on that because I'm not sure since it connects as USB.

I use a Fiio X5 Gen 2 daily for playing music and I just realized that it is now as old as the iPod that it replaced was when I got it. That's 20 years of music player usage right there.

Having a bit of fun on my second channel, the new Tron movie OST was released in floppy look-a-like packing in Japan. I *had* to get that and I also had an idea...why not put the music on a real floppy!https://youtu.be/yGJ7oRI0MLU

This is (un?)fortunately not a true contender for cursed connector status, while it looks like a north american outlet blade connector it's narrower than they are.

I was asked by a family member why it was taking so long to paste something large into a new Microsoft Word document on their computer, I sarcastically replied it was because it takes a while to upload it all to the copilot AI nonense first. And then I realized accidentally I might be right...I disabled copilot in Word and it went back to being instant againSo that's cool that Microsoft seems uploading everything you paste into a new Word doc to their servers now.

@foone I had to slow my roll on this until I had a better long term storage plan for it. They are HUGE when ripped this way. I can't bring myself to delete the LDS files when I'm done though...
