@simon Anyone who has ever used Bing as a search engine is completely unsurprised. It seems to have a built-in randomiser. There is a reason that it’s allowed in China; like, good luck finding anything on Bing. Bing AI was always going to be psychedelic babbling.

@theADHDAcademic All we’re encouraged in my classroom when I taught. I can see no good educational reason to oppose them. People learn in different ways. If a teacher doesn’t want to be recorded, they probably shouldn’t be speaking. Ditto for photographs and slides/whiteboards. It is 2023, after all.

@Rasp I think a main reason is that the white-collar working-class have been fooled into believing they are “middle-class” and that their wages are “salaries” and, abracadabra, different. By the time they figure out they’ve been scammed, it’s too late, for everybody.Wage-labour or profits; your income tells you which class you’re in.

@internetarchive @brewsterkahle Might I humbly suggest that the Archive be moved to a country with a greater commitment to public well-being than that current in the USA? Perhaps a European country where the relevant court might consider your collection to be to the benefit of humanity?

@zackwhittaker Given the draconian sentencing of climate protestors and the way that the UK courts are defining protests as “terrorism”, no UK Apple user should have a photo of a protest, or a note expressing any Green sympathy. The same applies to any sympathy for Palestine. It seems I was safer using Apple in China than I would be in the UK.
