So... Eurogamer article popped up to my shell-like, and it said "Hey, Steam's starting to see some more consequences for their lax moderation."https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-10-11-valve-under-investigation-by-brazilian-government-for-selling-game-inciting-violence-against-election-candidatesHonestly, I'm surprised it hadn't happened sooner, but then, the world's kinda busy overall...

Short version is that yet another hatespeech game has cropped up (one of many), and it came out before the Brazilian election, soooo... Both the creator and Valve are under investigation.Meanwhile, the lewdgame timebomb is ticking, ticking, ticking away. :|

REVIEW: Simmiland shows that part of why it's hard to be a God is humans, being jerks. Interesting variation of the God-Game formula by SokPop. https://themadwelshman.co.uk/simmiland-review/

@Nentuaby @pea Yes, I am unfortunately aware of this. Alas, the host provider assures me the SSL Cert is valid. A friend who probed it says it should be working fine. Nobody who's looked at it can seemingly give me any answers as to why this is happening.

@Nentuaby @pea Thanks, because while it hasn't been reported to me *often* , it's been reported enough that it's concerning. If it's config of the server software, then I'm basically fucked for the foreseeable, as switching hosts from Servage/replacing SSL takes dough I *very much* don't have rn.

@pea Probably isn't, but while I can't speak for the US, it sure as hell doesn't matter in the UK, where you're not actually obliged to give your *real* answer to the question "Why was I turned down for this position?"

@pea (And, living in a relatively conservative area, with epilepsy (primary trigger: Digital screens), I highly suspect the two biggest offenders are "Public Leftie" and "H&S says we can't risk him using our tills because of the once in three months (average) Epilepsy Mambo he does" 😬 )

@pea That... Looks about right for partway through? But then, I also, may have too many interests (Certainly enough to confuse the *hell* out of THE ALGORITHM)

@pea Yeah, haven't added many new channels recently, not least because the damn thing has no nuance."Oh, you liked this crit? How about 'This game sucks/This game is objectively awesome?' Howzabout this part of an LP, I know you said you weren't interested in the first twelve, or said you already watched them 5 years ago, but hear me out... [fades into droning]"

@theoutrider Ah, the much maligned 90s. Remembering now how Windows used Edie Brickell as one of the demos for their media player. :DMeanwhile, they missed out on the chance to be very, very silly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG_k5CSYKhg
