I went halfway through rcia then dropped out. I feel bad for the teacher because she was sweet but like, actually learning about Catholicism cemented my disbelief. I'd say i have no idea how this became a world religion but also the rcia teacher and priest actively discouraged me from reading the bible or catechism sooooolol. Lmao even.

@meowski Rite of Catholic Initiation for Adults. Its this like 4 month class thing you sit through before doing various ceremonies to prove your devotion to the church before the triple holy dunking, making you a Full Catholic.People going through it are called catechumens. Technically already part of the church, but unable to accept the sacrament of Eucharist (bread and wine at mass).

Honestly I'd love to have an actual conversation about what the bible supposedly teaches, but nobody is capable of doing so.Even when i asked my questions to the rcia teacher, whose *whole entire job* was to get me to understand the religion, their response was only 'Oh, i never thought of that, ill ask the priest. For now let's just pray. :)" That or just the usual npc replies that are meant to insult me I'm getting now from meowski. So for funsies, here's a small list of the problems I found: In order for Christianity to be true, the first death *must* be after the garden of Eden, which happened 6000-ish years ago according to the religion. Humans brought death into the world by their sin. If there is a single death before the human race existed, Christianity is false.Jesus claimed to have transformed death. How? The Gospels contradict each other. What was Jesus' last words? "Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?", "I thirst.", "It is finished,", or "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!"Was it magi or shepards at his birth? Did the proclamation happen, and if so why did the other three not mention it? Translations have found the "authors" of most of the new testament aren't who they say they are. But if the Holy Spirit prevents lying in the holy book, why are people taking the names of Apostles? Why do people just willingly accept thisWhy is 80% of the new testament, and the foundation of the religion, written by Saul, who never met Jesus and just goes by what the voices in his head say to do? Matthew 24:34....which was supposedly said over 2000 years ago. What does God get out of sacrifices, if he created all life? Why does he find it pleasing for living creatures to be killed and burned for him? Christians replaced animal sacrifice with human sacrifice with the Annointing of the Sick where they offer up the sick and dead in order to sanctify the Church, but why would the creator *want* that? Of course, the answer i got for that also explains why there's disease and cancer and why babies die, but we're not focusing on the Christianity is an evil cult aspect here, lol.
