@haskalNobody needs em anyways. I mean gab is still a thing and everyone in the fediverse blocks them. I love Mastodon for this. Make accounts where you want federate with who you mutually federate with. It's impossible to censor completely. Disclaimer: I am pro free speech and gab is still garbage.

@thegibsonYou know I've been saying he was a villain all along! Henchpersons, flamethrowers, single henchperson submarines. He couldn't even get into the super villain club after shooting a sports car at Mars and now he's really showing his bitterness about it!

@thegibsonThe progression. They had to steal it secretly and store it illegally.Ajit Pai makes it legal for them to buy it from ISPs so it puts the onus on the company and it's cheaper than unimaginably large data centers. They begin transition.ISPs affordably build traffic monitoring infrastructure because "advertising" margin increases. They begin relying on that infrastructure more. They obtain efficient consoles to manage traffic monitoring make it legal and now do not have to pay as much for access. With infrastructure almost complete costs almost minimized take advantage of coronavirus to map profiles to humans across ISPs (cellular, broadband).Manage population with needing any representation.
