@darulharb As policies go, it shows all the forethought of the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle, though instead of screwing over a handful of displaced Americans, he's upped the ante to all of us. As a distraction, he effectively told the Afghanistan planners, "Hold my beer" and knocked it out of the conversation with this move.There is no way it will survive, but it bodes poorly as a trend to posit this as leadership. It is demented fascism...

It makes a point while showing that the politics of the victim and their popularity are moot. everyone deserves their voice without fear of retribution. Counter-argument and even dislike are fair game, but causing one harm for a different opinion is not what a free society does

I'm convinced there's an effort to keep whipping the pandemic frenzy in an attempt to keep "caution" in play through the 2022 elections, thus legitimizing the "need" for for mail-in ballots and other election workarounds in support of easier election outcome engineering.

As I sit in an airport in a mask for what all sane folks realize is noactual reason, it creates huge resentment in me. Lord help anyone who tries to regress our country back to masked everywhere. Unlike those of us duped before, I think there will be unwavering resistance to any "science" hysteria. The trust has been broken.

@Economic_Hitman Honestly, I don't thinkit is enforced rigorously at all, because everyone inherently knows it is a sham in the airports. I wear it on the plane due to selfish need to max probability I will get to my destination, and not wanting to be one of 100 that messes up travel for a flight. That said, I carry a bottle of water, and FA's pretty much me being 75% unmasked as a stretch "sipping" the duration of the flight. It just seems petty & stupid.

Initially, Russia prosecuted a diluted attack, because they hoped for early compromise, once they showed they were serious (and they restored Crimea irrigation). Beyond that, it is a combo or asymmetric resolve of amateur invaders vs home defenders, and PR limitations to not create a case for more active Ukraine-friendly counter-support.

Most media & libs (large overlap there) try and paint any MAGA folks as mouth-breather racist rednecks... The reality is that most of us embrace the words over the acronym, and voted for Trump's promise & actions, not his person or personality. The greatest effect of Trump was spotlighting the corrupt machine that is DC - Dems, GOP, fed agencies had their inside game down pat, and Trump's actions upset that apple cart. We need to elect another disruptive Prez. Desantis or Gabbard-either works.
