Yah long haul flights for the biosafety crowd are a drag. But the stats are that SARS-CoV-2 is present in 96% of flight wastewater samples, and I have measured CO2 at over 1300ppm in the cabin. The math is not good.

@Noupside yeah same scenario here; rest of family currently negative. But didn’t catch the signal until day 4 of symptoms so it’s likely i infected them. We’ll see shortly :(

Of all the magic that remains of the internet:Still the most amazing thing to me is going to the site for the New York Public Library, and borrowing digital copies of books that then appear instantly on our 7 yo daughter's Kindle.She comes home, asks if she can read something, and roughly half the time, there it is, ready for her in two minutes. It's incredible.

@anildash I was reading recently of just how bad Henry Ford was (and this takes a while) and my sense is that the extremist vacuity we see in tech is maybe not that different from those at the top of any other extractive industry along the way.Honestly, I don't remember how I could have imagined it would be different with these people, but I do remember thinking it was.

I am looking for a paid and professional illustrator for a new project, and one of the illustrators is with a big artist's rep.I sent output from Midjourney as something to begin the conversation about what we are looking for, stylistically and wrt the overall concept. This evidently led to a partial handwringing meltdown at the agency. If the agencies representing illustrators ain't got their heads around this six months in, I don't think it's gonna be better in a year.
