Von den 16 eingelegten Eiern war eines nicht befruchtet, der Rest beim schieren unauffällig. Am 21. Tag schlüpften 5 Küken, eines davon nicht lebensfähig (Dottersack nicht ganz eingezogen).Die restlichen Eier liess ich nochmals 2 Tage im Brutautomaten. Nix. Als ich sie öffnete, um zu sehen, was Sache ist, fand ich fast ausschließlich voll entwickelte Küken. Ich tippe auf ein Problem mit der Luftfeuchtigkeit. (1/2)#hühner #küken #brüten

Entweder zu feucht während der brut. Dann bildet sich keine Luftblase und die küken ertrinken, wenn sie auf Lungenatmung umstellen vor dem schlupf.Oder zu trocken in der schlupfphase, dann kriegen sie die Eihaut nicht auf.

@urusan we don't have a given "bedtime". We just take the toddler to bed when we go. That's something between 8 and 11 pm. Just when we see he is really tired, we bring him to bed.

@EdS @ashfurrow @dredmorbius I'm not far from 40. My husband is a little over 40. we understand it. My mom and her sisters 70+ understand it.The 70+ even use emojis more than I do.

@bonifartius ich finde es schwierig, wenn man über die eigenen guten Eigenschaften nicht auch lächeln kann.Man kann der Pünktlichkeit Unpünktlichkeit oder Spontaneität entgegenstellen. Der Toleranz (Duldsamkeit) mit Akzeptanz begegnen und sich fragen, ob die Höflichkeit auch etwas Herzlichkeit vertragen könnte.Ohne dass man diese werte deswegen infrage stellen muss.

@niclas @bonifartius birds can fly -BUT...At night, the cat is in advantage, when the birds sleep. Not sure about most birds night vision, either. Young birds in flight training often fall victim to cats, too.And there are a lot of species that suffer from a high cat density, too. Like lizards, mantis...Also in countries like new zealand the endemic species are not used to predators like cats, they do not escape.

@bonifartius @niclas i prefer having some side catch over using poison for mouse control.I guess cat birth control is crucial. Feral cats are terrible to the environment.
