@foone I once broke a lightbulb trying to unscrew it, pulled the plug, and stuck some pliers in to get the base. I pulled the wrong plug. Ok, not once, twice, and once was in Europe. 120v is uncomfortable. 240 hurts. My current (lol) policy is to take an object to a different room to fix it.

@futurebird I checked tall no back pain, but I saw your other toot about parties where everyone has to stand. At those kinds of parties I have to stoop over to talk and listen to people. So after a party, I can be a bit sore. I’m not crazy tall… not like my colleague who can’t stand up straight on the subway. But I’m tall enough that it’s something people notice about me.

@futurebird This is a huge leap forward for public health in NYC. A coup for human rights for the poor. And also pretty good for me, personally. The cycle of “I need to pee so I will buy a caffeinated or alcoholic beverage” is such a pain.
