Emulated on MacOS Seqoia using Whisky, emulated via Amiga Forever, virtual networking all still performing perfectly. It's such a robust package, and incredible value for money. Can't believe we're on version 11 already!

If you’re interested, you don’t actually need to use the Amiga Forever app, it’s just a really nice preconfigured emulator with a content browser. You can use the disks, roms, and bios files with any Amiga emulator or an Amiga-like OS such as AROS or Amibian. It might sound like I’m shilling for this product, but I’m just really supportive of the project as a whole, and I love the idea that for a small fee you get a DRM free, legal way to own our favourite retro tech.

Maybe it’s time to start the anti-AI propaganda by telling people their utility bills will rise due to AI usage.Because they will. Taxes and utility bills seem to be the only language some people understand.

I’d rather watch nothing than watch anything with ads.

Fondly remembering the time I was neck deep in a digital provenance project and they were coming up with some really impressive tech. And the first time the team that had demonstrated their work to IT teams in the business, this is how the conversation went:“Introducing the world’s first fully immutable, non-repudiable, immutable unidirectional storage migration protocol”They went on to demonstrate how it worked for 30-40 minutes.“And that’s how these files can only exist in one place at a time”We were all thinking it, but a colleague raised their hand:“How do we back it up?”The research team went silent.24 months, 30 people, tens of millions of pounds. One of the most cutting edge computer laboratories in the world.Unraveled by tech cavemen in Metallica and Star Wars T-shirts only there because they have to be, and desperately wanting to get back the Quake LAN party they had set up in the server room. We’re all guilty of it, but it’s so easy to get stuck in the detail that you miss the most obvious things.

You can absolutely get fucked sky-high, if I’ve turned this off and you build a custom UI to pester me any anyway.
