I started developing a little package for Tesseract OCR integration in Emacs. Any feedback / contribution is highly appreciated.https://github.com/SebastianMeisel/tesseract.el #emacs #emacslisp #ocr #tesseract

@gnarkotics @nixCraft #vim and #emacs have different use cases. If you just need an editor Vim is king. If you hate leaving your editor #emacs is king (although of cause it's much easier to get out of Emacs ;-)

       Can someone help me with this #emacslip code? Used to work in #emacs 28 but under #emacs 29 complains the variable original-temp-buffer does not exist, when I invoke C-c C-e in *Ediff Variant*.(defun sm/refactor-region () "Copy selection it to a temporary buffer, and run ediff to compare with an empty buffer, that you can use to refactor the region." (interactive) (unless (region-active-p) (error "No active region")) (let* ((original-buffer (current-buffer)) (original-start (region-beginning)) (original-end (region-end)) (original-temp-buffer (generate-new-buffer "*Ediff Original*")) (variant-temp-buffer (generate-new-buffer "*Ediff Variant*"))) ;; Copy the region to the original-temp-buffer (copy-to-buffer original-temp-buffer original-start original-end) (copy-region-as-kill original-start original-end) ;; Display the two buffers side by side (delete-other-windows) (set-window-buffer (split-window-horizontally) original-temp-buffer) (switch-to-buffer variant-temp-buffer) ;; Set up local keybindings (local-set-key (kbd "C-c C-e") (lambda () (interactive) (ediff-buffers original-temp-buffer variant-temp-buffer))) (local-set-key (kbd "C-c C-c") (lambda () (interactive) (with-current-buffer original-buffer (delete-region original-start original-end) (insert-buffer-substring variant-temp-buffer)) (kill-buffer original-temp-buffer) (kill-buffer variant-temp-buffer) (when (bound-and-true-p ediff-this-buffer-control-s) (ediff-cleanup-mess)))) ;; Prompt the user (message "Edit the variant on the right. @Ethanol6 @yisraeldov one key per server is best practice. Just use .ssh/config to configure which server uses which key: https://phoenixnap.com/kb/ssh-config

@yisraeldov @Ethanol6 Well mainly out makes sure that when one key is compromised, not all servers are effected.

Hi, I just finished my new version of journalctl-mode. It's now using transient for a more intuitiv UI. Also I added a simple follow mode.I would be very thankful, if some of you folk could test it, before I push it to main. You can install it using quelpa as described: https://github.com/SebastianMeisel/journalctl-mode/tree/transient#emacs #systemd #emacslisp #quelpa #development
