@apropos @djsumdog @alex No vaccine does what you are suggesting against any disease. Vaccines train your immune system, they aren't some magic shield against disease. You still get infected and your immune system mounts a defence, just quicker as your immune system. During this time you're still infectious, just less and for a shorter timeYou don't need to put the word vaccine in quotes btw, it is what it is.

@djsumdog @apropos @alex the mRNA technology has been around for decades. The only new part is the nano lipid shell delivery mechanism to get it through the cell wall, previous mechanisms were less efficient. It has the sequence for the spike, but your immune system builds an antibody that binds to the spike protein.I'd be interested in where you heard that it causes your body to make its own spike protein?

Using dd with /dev/zero as a source should be effective way to securely erase an SSD, right? Even with the funky way SSDs, shuffle and erase data, as you're effectively reallocating the whole disk with one endless file of 0s. It will zero out regardless.

@Gina I recently bought an Electric Hyundai Kona. Here in Australia charging infrastructure is growing slowly around our highways and innercity areas. In the suburbs not so much - charging at home is still the cheapest place (especially with Solar Panels).The reality of EVs is that they are most efficient around town where breaking regeneration is available. I get close to 500kms out of a 100% charge. On the highway that drops to around 300km on ECO mode.
