@jalefkowit Why on Earth should international conferences still be held in the US?Tbh I wondered about some before. For those in LV, NV, I had the Impression it was rather about meeting up with booze and… um… ladies. Both is available elsewhere, legally… As for other Locations: There are less dangerous locations to travel to.

@syn_rst Ich würde als Mechanismus eher spekulieren, dass das Selbstverständnis ist, primär Unterhaltung zu liefern (und mittels dessen Werbung zu verkaufen). Da passt Zuviel Kritisches nicht rein, und wenn es gerade ein „wir müssen alle sterben“ ist, dann keines, das Konsumenten vergrätzt. Also ist die Nächste Schandtat Trumps viel berichtenswerter, als alles vor der eigenen Haustür.@BlumeEvolution

@syn_rst Wird ja auch, in den entsprechenden Wohlfühlsettings, gerne drüber berichtet. Natürlich stets mit dem Doubt, damit sich jene, die nicht wollen, nicht vor den Kopf gestoßen fühlen.Nehmen wir meinetwegen BEVs als Anschauungsbeispiel. Würde man da nicht die üblichen tatsächlichen oder vermeintlichen Probleme mit Stressen, würde das ja gefühltes „Falschmachen“ bei jenen, die nicht umsteigen (wollen) auslösen.
