@xerz Well they're pushing the merch as a way to get approval, but it's not even like they've then announced it'll definitely go ahead.I mean I really enjoyed it, but just hope it goes ahead.

@xerz Yeah AM5 is rather expensive.I guess the only argument is it could be a good long term investment, but rather than going from AM4 to AM5 I invested instead in a 5800x3d which was cheaper than an AM5 Ryzen 5 and AM5 mobo, and DDR5 too.

My Dad's car has been having TPMS issues.Something that any competent tyre place should have been able to sort.Took it to 5 and they all said they couldn't pair the new tyre sensor to the car.Whilst it was expensive, £200 later I now have a tool to do exactly what multiple chain tyre places said wasn't possible.To top it off, it's the exact same tool at least one of the branches had.

@mike805 The issue has just more been incompetence.They're not a new thing (mandated as law for 10+ years now). And should be a simple job.Just nobody local to us seemed to know how.

I still had the original sensor which my tool couldn't read.Took it apart, the metal weld between the battery and PCB had snapped.What are the chances?

I've just had an email that my EV Charger is being discontinued and that it'll loose all of it's smarts from November this year. It's only 5 years old, but they only stopped selling them 3 years ago (but then retailers would have still had stock etc).For me it's not an issue as I use it in dumb mode anyway, but it does make you wonder about something that essentially would have cost most £1k to get installed.
