@grammargirl @RookwoodEditing @KOKEdit This article is great. I had far too many (raging) reactions to the original article to respond. This response is spot on.

@jnyrose @StephZihms @readwise I have to look into your tools, but I think it's fascinating that you sidestepped citation mangers in this whole process. The searchable notes and tagging of Endnote 2 (I only recently threw those 6 floppy disks away!) made my MA thesis research manageable, and the infinite supply of notes per item was a key part of my happiness with Zotero. (and Zotero has recently included a PDF viewer, so I'm sure that absence was part of the sidestepping)

@jnyrose @StephZihms @readwise I'm playing with Obsidian Canvas now, and just mapped out the work for a committee I'm chairing. very easy to do in that! I think I'm in love with the arrows.

@grammargirl I agree with your conclusion in that post. It's as confusing as bimonthly, and since there is an equally simple way to say the thing in a clear way, use "new for old!"

@grammargirl A friend asked CHatGPT to provide a bio of him, and ChatGPT came back with 100% made up stuff, of a person who has done stuff the internet knows about (like you)Not crimes, but still, in the face facts, it came up with facts untrue facts about him.
