@vayda My boy Jerry whose a beast got picked up by a smoke jumper crew last year. I was his truck lead? by necessity of us being short handed on the initial attack crew. He's been telling me to go with smokejumping, but first I want to test if I would puss out on a jump first before setting a meet and greet at the air base.

@Philoxenus reminds me of verizon. They offered this special first responder deal, and all the fed firefighters ran on it. Specially mobile HQ and and command trucks, shit like that. I think it was 2016, they were working on some massive California hell fire. Fire tornados, 40mph winds shooting flaming branches, usual bad. You have like 500 guys trying to pull up maps and send briefing packets, and verizon throttled the entire network for 24 hours. God people were pissed. They were reaping advertising hay at the time on how much they were helping wildfire fires, backfired spectacularly because some desk jockey poo in the loo saw too much data usage. I think calFire even sued them.
