@strypey Well yeah, perhaps they mean machine learning, which really is just a form of statistical analysis. I find these types of article really interesting, particularly when the authors do what they do at the Guardian or New Scientist and get another scientist to comment. This could be a massive breakthrough or a step in a long line of similar studies. I'm gonna call it useful research. 😊

@strypey Absolutely agree. It's so obvious putting money in everyone's pocket - except the very rich - pushes economic growth. That's why *generally* GDP is higher under progressive governments. GFC taught us this. Interestingly even then the Key government didn't go for austerity while the UK did. That and Brexit totally stuffed the UK economy.

@lightweight Couldn't agree more. How quickly we forget they entered AoNZ and immediately ignored the rules about rider and driver safety ( some bullsh about 'our drivers are not really drivers'). And went on from there. That's not to say our regular taxi firms are providing a great service though. Some are amazing and some really expensive.
