Your experiences seems to be a very similar to the picture of Europe presented by the populist Christian Nationalist camp in the USA, and the same rhetoric has been repeated here in the UK by far-right politicians and activists like Nigel Farage and Tommy Robinson.@ChrisMayLA6 @oleastre

@h4890 @ChrisMayLA6 Interesting points.The only real alternative to US tech is China which already has the scale, albeit with similar issues.The EU is currently building technology platforms based on established FOSS solutions to remove the US dependency, and thos 'socialist' (aka bottom up) alternatives already underpin a decent portion of US proprietary techThis is in response to the US Cloud Act which EU countries see as incompatible with European privacy land data sovereignty aws.
