@GossiTheDog on top of the internal sharing among Tesla employees, this article also states that having a Tesla seems to allow you to park a camera everywhere you want to spy other people, and retrieve the data afterwards for yourself... What a mess...Tesla is not yet well implanted here, so that I've never thought about this use case 😅

@spodlife @GossiTheDog Indeed, I just checked in France and it seems that recording on public area is even not allowed by default. Here is an article from @CNIL : https://www.cnil.fr/fr/la-videosurveillance-videoprotection-sur-la-voie-publiqueOn top of this, if the records are actually uploaded to Tesla's servers, and if these are outside of Europe, it may be inconsistent with #GPDR

@roboneko @GossiTheDog @Harryshelper @spodlife video monitoring by a State is indeed also an issue, that can be dealt with using the vote right (and indeed a few riots if you are french, as a tradition)But video monitoring by a sole citizen is also really problematic: any stalker could use these devices to spy on someone else and use it for whatever he thinks is right. That scares me as much as State surveillance

@dada c'est encore beaucoup de pleurnicherie pour un énième drama entre zeteticiens, qui ne font plus que ça depuis quelques années, malheureusement.Entre le groupe Zetetique sur FB qui est devenu une vraie foire a la saucisse depuis 2019-2020, puis twitter qui est devenu une bête arène où chacun y allait de son bon mot pour dénigrer l'autre (cette critique est valable pour les 2 camps), il n'y a plus grand chose de lisible dans cette communauté..C'est surtout ça qui m'attriste

@bortzmeyer Comme ça je dirais la destruction des services publics, qui entraîne des services techniques de moins bonne qualité.Je dis pas que les techos dans le public sont nuls, mais ils n'ont pas du tout les moyens de bosser dans des conditions décentes et ça dégrade leur boulot au final.
