@seldo John of Gaunt is my 26 great grandfather. Does that make Matilda an ancestor of mine? I think she'd be 33rd or 34th great grandmother to me.Thanks so much for sharing this story. I had always been drawn to English history. Then I found out that I was descended from Charlemagne through John of Gaunt and Joan Beaufort.

@KimPerales Sorry, but I have access to lots of well raised meat and dairy. It would be stupid to replace that with food shipped in from elsewhere.I don't feel well when I eat too much grains and legumes.

@kimlockhartga I was in Las Vegas recently for my son's wedding and I got heat exhaustion. My symptoms were nausea and extreme fatigue.Liquid IV electrolyte packets helped enormously. I'm so glad that we packed some.I also experienced heat exhaustion last summer while gardening in the morning. Nausea was the first symptom and I immediately went inside and drank some water with salt. I didn't know about the Liquid IV packets. They really do work.Stay safe and hydrated everyone.
