@rs1linuxtools 7 computers, 6 of them running GNU/Linux and the last one died while I was trying to boot a distro (Lenovo bios and uncommon hardware).

@selea what matters is that you tried. I learned to cook by trying and also taking courses about complex topics. But I think that the taste of the food can be achieved with practice. Just add more try/catch blocks in the food you are cooking. 😆

@pmarg you could use your fairphone without sim card and sensors as secure device and if you need to go outside you can use another phone with sim card but without personal information. Also in this phone you can disable the sensors with the tiles for developers just in case you would need to use the camera. In AOSP/Android you can disable mic and camera with one tile. In Lineage OS you can use two tiles, one for the mic and one for the camera.

@dnull you welcome and yes, even now not all hardware is compatible with gsi roms so this is like flash one rom and then check if everything is working.You can use fastboot to flash the system image (fastboot flash system "system.img"), depending of the device maybe you can execute the command in fastboot or in fastbootd, also some devices use the super partition instead the system partition.

@dnull that's great!Are you using gapps or vanilla lineage?I don't like that from Xiaomi but at least they provide the option to unlock the bootloader.
