In short, don't assume people know better because they have the same info as you. Differences in prior experience cause differences in processing information, right? And you can account for that and see that right?It's the same deal with neurodivergent folks. We process differently. Don't assume we got the same thing out of the same information thank you.

An angel in the Christian tradition is horrifying, because the Christian tradition was made to enforce divine Will, and "fix" humanity. Angels are horrors. (To be entirely fair to Christians angels can result from secular actions, but it's a lot rarer and usually less directed. get a whole bunch of nasty people feeling safe to be judgy because they all got together to practice being judgy and you've probably also made an angel)

@octet33 @kinsey it contributes to an incredibly destructive part of planned obsolescence with mining frequently toxic minerals only to use them for a year then throw them in the ocean when we should be keeping them in the economy permanently to reduce the amount of mining needed. Refurbishment and recycling are good steps in this but so is software optimisation so as to extend lifespan.

@SuperGideon demonstration strike. A warning shot to say "we're serious". (And It's a strike because predominantly what matters here is content creators who are payed by YouTube to create videos to create ad revenue not creating new revenue streams during this time for YouTube and not feeding existing ones.)

@msh @SuperGideon It's been planned for months by a collection of lefty YouTubers. I unfortuntely don't have links on hand, but It's a protest against how YouTube's response to Coppa punishes you for marking your videos not child friendly by stealing an extra slice of ad revenue which is already tight. Among other things. . . It's also a protest against the automated moderation.
