@ScoWer22 People have already been primed to distrust from the 'rona. You'll probably see the remaining people in cali, NYC, et al. line up, but the other ~30 states will invoke the Tenth amendment as hard as they can take it, meaning chaos will abound.

@ThatCrazyDude That actually has merit. Call it arbitrated violence-based dispute resolution, survivor gets the other guy's stuff after any inheritance laws, record it all via public-access video, and everyone goes away happier (except the guy who lost).

@El_Jefe Another good trick cali is leading the way in: not responding to 911 calls. Crime stats go down when cops don't show up!Also, why not include ALL homicides into the equation? I'm fairly certain there's some stat fudgery going on.

@Dan_Ramos @obihahn Yeah, the rule is that you can get away with things proportionally to how funny it is.So, to "fix" this one, we'd need something more unexpected. Maybe it being a silly period hat of a civilian of the time and Jesus saying "Judas, you for real right now?" or something memetic like that.The secret is pain that doesn't create long-term tragedy.

@Djeep That's actually how most things are sold. All the pros, none of the cons.It's actually the basis for most social problems in a nuclear-deconstructed society. If everyone younger was raised by good parents, their parents' wisdom would bleed out and they'd have the sense to spot bad things before they became a popular social trend.
