@ethot It's hard to nail it down. I just like what I like. I have thousands and thousands of albums. I only buy physical media. Two of my all time favorites are Bjork and the Afghan Whigs. I'm really into Little Dragon right now. I like Neil Young, Roxy Music, Bowie, a lot of Motown stuff... so many it would be monotonous to name them all. Don't really like too much rap.

@kyupin1365 the engineering college I attended is doing the same shit. They tried to get me to help them with an event. I said no and cancelled my alumni donations.

@kyupin1365 off topic but if you did go into a STEM field like engineering you wouldn't be in debt very long after graduating. Women in engineering get hired quickly and get paid well. If it's something that interests you I wouldn't avoid it is what I'm trying to say.

@kyupin1365 Electrical engineering. It is one of the more desirable fields of engineering. A lot of people avoid engineering because of the advanced mathematics but it gets easier the more you do it and can even be fun.

@kyupin1365 it's desirable from the employers perspective which makes it desirable from a student perspective. There are other desirable engineering majors with excellent employment opportunities, as well. A quick search and you'll find them. In my experience, a good work life balance has a lot to do with your ability to set boundaries and say no. There are many factors though for different people I'm sure. A paid internship is a good start for an engineer. You can do this while finishing your degree. When you first start out you may be given lots of work. A lot of it will probably be kind of crappy, especially as an intern. But it becomes much less strenuous over time especially if you can establish an expertise in a particular subject. At this point in my career, I don't have to bust my butt too hard any more. I act as a consultant for many others and help them understand how to do the work.
