Our blog posts have been an excellent source of truth for Nitrux users. They are searchable and detailed. But as we scale, we need structure. We are migrating technical documentation to a dedicated Knowledge Base to make navigation as efficient as the search bar.#Nitrux #Docs

Another change is coming to Nitrux 6.0: we'll use our own login greeter, QMLGreet (very much a W.I.P, mind you). The reason is that customizing QtGreet proved to be a bad endeavour, and there are no QML greeters for greetd.See: https://github.com/orgs/Nitrux/discussions/216#Nitrux #QML #Updates

@cameron_bosch You're conflating different technologies. Qt isn't a window compositor, Hyprland isn't a GUI toolkit. And neither is a desktop environment (Plasma)We're still using Qt software; every new GUI app uses Qt 6. We're still using some KDE software (frameworks and some of the apps). Even more so, we specifically said we didn't want to follow the steps Trinity took with KDE 3, which would've meant forking Plasma 5 *just* to keep our custom layer (NX Desktop).

@cameron_bosch Nonetheless, even if we had considered porting our stuff to the newer Plasma 6 APIs, it would've been the least of the issues. The announcements we made were very clear about why *we* stopped using Plasma. We expressly stated that NX Desktop had achieved its goal, including indirectly shaping Plasma. It was time to move on.The source code for everything in NX Desktop is still available; anyone could simply fork it over and continue that work.
