@sean OAuth in Mastodon is pretty basic (no token renewal, no refresh token, etc) so it's quite easy to handle manually. I tried libs before, was too often hacky to my taste, but maybe I didn't run into the good ones at that time.

@sean if you're talking to an authenticated API you will not have the choice but to implement a Oauth process in your app. Sure you can test things on the side to understand them, but once in the app you will need this workflow (create and app on the API, redirect user so that he connects, handle his returns, echange code for the token, etc).

@emacsen The weirdest thing about genders in French is.. they can be very different between countries (a "job" is female in Canada, but is male in France) and even in the same country (there is debate in France on the "gameboy" gender, even if there is literally "boy" in the name).@JordiGH

@sean honestly I don't really like Redux concepts as well. It's a lot of boilerplate for something not that clean and "easy to come back in months after"...Before using a framework, did you learn the basis of HTML/CSS/JS? It helps a lot before jumping to "industrial" tooling.

@sean yeah, and that's exactly what it is. In fact, before jumping in, I did migrate progressively: firstly I started to learn SASS. And created a script to compile it. Than TypeScript. Than a template lib (handlebars). Than a module loader lib. Etc.And at some point I was recreating a framework and struggling with all the moving parts. I got on the Angular boat at that time. It was a relief because it was easy since I understood the moving parts and only had to understand the new things brought by the framework.Maybe you could learn a bit of those things before jumping to a bigger boat? Either way, feel free to reach me if you'd like some cookbook on those tech or other. đ

@CedricLevasseur @pb @mmu_man Pour retrouver des samples de docs, il n'est est pas mal, et le code est valide en gĂ©nĂ©ral. C'est un peu comme copier coller du code depuis StackOverflow, mais en y accĂ©dant un peu plus vite. Ăa aide, mais faut garder un Ćil critique dessus. Par contre, dĂšs que ce n'est plus dans les solutions "usuelles"/"la doc", il peux dĂ©lirer assez rapidement et inventer des trucs "qui seraient pratique si ça existait". Donc bon.

@bortzmeyer sur le test du site web ? il montre les mauvaises rĂ©ponses dans la barre du haut (orange / vert).Sinon oui, ça se bachote : on a un livret Ă lire et 2-3 sites pour sâentraĂźner. MalgrĂ© tout le jour de l'exam il y a des questions posĂ©es que je n'avais jamais vu ni dans le livret (lu plusieurs fois) ni sur les sites d'entrainement. Donc vaux mieux d'ĂȘtre bon dĂ©jĂ en entrainement pour maximiser ses chances.
