@futurebird Candy canes aren’t so popular outside the US, I think. They’re a poor relation to a proper stick of rock, I think.Growing up I always associated Christmas with chocolate coins and cheap foil-covered chocolate Santa decorations you would hang on the tree before eating.

I do picture the thing rotating and folding in my head and doing that I can get the answer pretty quick. But I’ve just realised that if I picture it folding forwards (ie towards myself) rather than back it’s a bit easier again.

@futurebird my grandfather collected oil paintings in his retirement and would often meet the artist at home. One of his paintings was a beautiful Scottish highland scene with a loch with a couple of noticeably out of scale ducks on it: he had persuaded the artist to add the ducks later because he thought it was missing something.
