I've just spent far too many days figuring out and installing my own water supply. Tank, piping, pumps, filters, glue, sealant, crimps, so much.So now I'm sovereign and free? @lightweight whoever controls the endpoints has the data. That's why Signal is so different to Whatsapp despite being based on fundamentally identical foundations (AFAIK).

@essjax @Vivaldi what's the downside? I'm sure people were yelling at Vivaldi for being <<something bad>> a while ago. It wouldn't be life if that weren't the case but I can't remember whether it was something serious or trivial.

@lightweight I've always thought that sure, it can be end to end encrypted but your app on the ends can do whatever they want it to with the unencrypted information. So you still need to trust Zuck and his muck. @davemosk

Boost for reach please!Does anyone know of a turnkey 'de-bigtech' solution, service or facilitator? My attempts have stalled and fallen into the 'too hard' basket. I am willing to pay. Not sure how much.. what's your price? Preferably NZ based but most locations except USA and hell considered.
