@kaip @eversten doesn't have to be #movim.eu. just trying to figure out a practical and easy way to setup an event group for android and ios based on #xmpp. some suggested WA or IG, both = FB. crazy crazy ooofs. for example, the link to the group is here, then get this, get that. easy peasy , but can that be done? not looking for signup process like a loan application. a zillion questions. #monal for ios. ok. anyone can use #snikket client to another server?

@mattj @lil5 @dsfgs @chbmeyer @hackernews @fabyk @olamundo I don't have snikket invite. its a private meetup group so only the meetup group membership will see the chat group link. how about good effort in pushing adoption of xmpp usage. I mean its easy to post encrypted private matrix group link, so how can I do the same an encrypted xmpp group link. these are barriers of entry/usage. in matrix, a private group is not listed in the group directory. it can be encrypted or not.

I would not have these new users in my contacts list to invite them individually.

@gme @josegustavomartins it offers no phone or email. I use signal for friends and family too. I started using session when I get requests from users/scammers that want your WA, hangouts, Skype, email. I send them session id since no id info on me. I request they include their username for me to accept their connection request. I don't have any of the above listed im, except email. I don't want being doxxed or put on a scam suckers list to be exploited or blackmailed and just block them.

@atoponce@toolofheresy @yogthos I believe wire save all contacts unencrypted on its servers and metadata is also saved unencrypted on its servers to enable multidevice/multiplatform feature and you can't delete your contacts just hide them. also, their doc indicate login is passed unencrypted to their servers. I would like to use wire, but for those reasons I don't. thats for wire personal. I'm not sure of wire enterprise version. correct me if I'm wrong. thx.

@e88All i know is #Session removed Perfect Forward Secrecy #PFS to accomodate multidevice. So if one was able to crack the encryption key, then all Session msgs are readable. With #Signal, every msg has a new encryption key, so if one msg is cracked, all other msgs are still encrypted. That's my understanding.The advantage with Session it's decentralised, run by the community. has 3-hop onion route to its destination, and no kyc. no number or email. just anonymous.
