@mike it's so bold. Not even toys advertise themselves as fun.But this packet of rectangles. Oh man you missed out, imagine sometime so universally fun that you can straight up label it as such? Wow.

Anyone have any experience in breaking rolling code key fobs?Decided to clone my garage door clicker and aside from the obvious playback attack I'm not really sure how you'd go about extracting the secret from the hardware.Captured a few radio packets, seems like a 4 btye code. Not game enough to open a 400 dollar fob with no clones on the market to see what chip is driving it. Any way to identify it?

Resistor colour code tattoo is done! Silver and gold are the first two as they can be thought of as -2 and -1 for the purposes of multipliers

@cant_into one of my partners tattooed a bunch of useful constants at my prompting.I see no reason not to make a tattoo aesthetically interesting and informative. My other arm is going to become a bunch of botanical sketches of native species with interesting/useful properties (timber wise/environment indicating/edible etc). It'll be pretty and useful!

Ok so I might be way more into flight simming than is safe for my wallet.Anyone know how to custom make your own usb devices? I'm assuming I'm looking at the HID class for stuff like lights/keys which can be bound to software functions/readouts from software APIs?Any resources that use arm boards like the STM32s? Is it just a serial protocol that you have to implement? What about writing drivers for windows? or are there generic drivers you can just use?#electronics #usb

Just announcing something I learned about recently. There's this thing called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) which is a mutalistic model of farming where a farmer raises money from the community for a season/year and the community gets a share of the produce every N weeks. The idea being this effectively insures the farmer against bad seasons and allows them to follow more sustainable practices which in turn benefits the community by destroying less land.1/2

Additionally, while there is some risk involved it's usually pretty decent value in decent growing conditions as there are no ~~rent seeking shitbag capitalists~~ middle men taking their slice. It seems to me to be a very realistic model of farming, which is hard and we can't all grow our own food, that can be practised in the current hellworld we live in.https://afsa.org.au/csa/ for more info.If you dream of softer worlds then this is something you might be able to practice today!2/2
