@futurebird Sheesh. I have the same problem with celery. I need to know it's there or it will kill me. I've even found it in food at a Mexican restaurant once ("What in the diabluras-gente-blanca-loca is this!?"At least I can usually see it coming. Sunflower oil would be hard to avoid.

@futurebird I think this tactic is designed to cleave the support of people presumed to be quiet racists, yes. They're trying to do the same to Buttigieg (a la, "He's not really gay"). I think they think if they can make them keep saying "I'm Black," or "I'm gay," it will start to turn off people who are easily enlisted to do the work of racism and bigotry -- even though they aren't committed racists or bigots. It also keeps their own base riled up.
