@neauoire @cassvs My coworker had so many tabs open (much more tha 50) that it became hard for him to manage. To fix this he INSTALLED A SECOND BROWSER to handle the overflow.

@mike One of the top reasons I love New England. Ive seen exactly one venomous snake...ever...and it was in the care of a park ranger. Other than a bad run-in with a subterranean yellow jacket nest as a child and having to do the whole "HEY BEAR!" thing occasionally on hikes I feel far more safe here than any other part of the country. No real killer animals, significant storms, earth quakes, or wild fires is the life for me.

@SDF I have a graphite one that I bought new back in the day. I could and should have gotten the tray loading Tangerine one that was also still available at the time instead. Those slot loading drives are crazy unreliable whereas the tray loading ones are just off the shelf and easy-ish to replace. Been using this massive external unit since about 2002, a year after i bought it.

@bear Have you ever been to a market with lots of fresh veggies and bulk products....or even worse a vegan restaurant? Vegans cant get that I am one not out if some reverence for animals great and small. Normies simply assume I'm a hippy and try to provoke me. Having a delightfully delicious brunch currently, have had to listen to a 45 minute conversation behind me about NPR coverage of something I dont care about and the healing power of crystals. 🙄

@Ricardus s S F fThis is the way Id lay out silverware when setting the table (knife goes horizontally above the plate, blade toward the forks). Except no does it this way but my family. I do think its better since it assumes you want your fork in the most common dominant hand. No idea how it got started in my family. My wife organizes the drawer in order for a common formal place setting of f F s S leaving me to always grab the wrong thing everytime i reach into the drawer.

@textfiles My Macintosh came with a cassette “tour” when I first got it. I thought this was hilarious considering a disk to put into the computer I just bought made way more sense.

Id like to have a chat with the UX designers at Microsoft who think it’s fun to just move things to increasingly less optimal places just for the shits and giggles of it. Outlook has become increasingly more and more unusable with each update. I miss Eudora like whoa!
