@lowqualityfacts I'm so confused. Isn't this account supposed to be satirical irony ... ?

@futurebird A new trend needs to emerge where it’s cool to point & laugh at the drivers. Nobody *needs* to drive one of those outside of *very* rural areas.

#Fediverse #bridge knowledge question: Since my account gets propagated to #Bluesky, sometimes people from there try to interact with me. I assume they have no clue I'm outside of that network. I would like to interact with them *in any way possible* that will not force me to create bsky account. So my question is: Can I post from Fedi to Bsky somehow without having an account?

@meowski The apple analogy doesn’t fit: apples are a preference, not a moral principle. Saying “nothing in the definition of freedom obligates me to care if others have it” treats freedom like apples, just a personal perk. But moral principles only hold if they apply universally. Wanting freedom only for yourself isn’t loving freedom; it *IS* loving privilege. And thanks for the closing ad-hominem. Makes the reply waaaay easier.

@meowski You do you. We don't seem to have the same alignment here. I'm far from adding "and that's ok", but from your reactions it can be easily inferred that discussion is not something you're interested in. Just shouting. Bye.

@meowski Your reply opens by labeling the other side as “marxists” and “bad faith,” which shifts things away from the actual argument. That’s an ad hominem move: it attacks who you think the speaker is instead of what was said. It makes the discussion emotional rather than logical and doesn’t address the point about freedom at all.

@meowski Saying “don’t tell me what I love or what I should care about” reframes the original point. No one dictated your feelings; the argument was: if a value applies only to you, it stops being a principle and becomes privilege. That’s not a command, it’s a definition of how moral claims work. You’re arguing against something that wasn’t said.

@meowski You say “freedom is something we should all pursue,” which actually supports the universality point. If freedom is something all should pursue, then it isn’t just a private preference. But if you also say you don’t care whether others have it, that contradicts the idea that freedom is a universal good. Those two claims don’t fit together.

@meowski Bringing up “throw myself into a wood chipper” is a huge leap. Caring about others’ freedom doesn’t require extreme self-sacrifice. That exaggeration turns a simple moral point into an impossible demand. It creates a false choice between total self-destruction and total indifference, which isn’t what anyone argued.

@meowski Your response expresses frustration clearly, but it doesn’t engage the actual claim. It uses labels, exaggerations, and restatements of things no one said. The core idea remains unaddressed: if you value a freedom only when it benefits you, that’s not a universal principle, it’s a personal advantage. Calling that out isn’t dictating your feelings; it’s clarifying terms.

@meowski The blessing and the curse of the free™ internet is that anyone can speak, and anyone can shout. You rarely know people’s motives here, and sadly it’s not unreasonable to assume some of it is driven by bad faith or hidden agendas. But one thing stays true: those who yell the loudest usually have the weakest argument. I’m tired of watching people mistake volume for victory. Declaring yourself the winner isn’t winning, it’s just smelling your own farts.

@meowski How does it feel? It’s no secret that insecure keyboard-warriors often times get the superiority dopamine hit when being “treated like that” by ‘the libtards’ or ‘leftists’ or (as you like to say) ‘marxists’. Personally would not like to get to that position where it feels so lonely that I have to admit that people should cut me off.Oh and clearly you meant “everyone”. You’re welcome ;)

@meowski As someone with such a high value for their time as you knows: You can always eject from said conversation and decide to not engage. As someone thriving on having conflict with strangers online as you knows: You hate the idea of not having the last word.
