       @mark_mcguire @strypey @theconversationau So why not a windfall tax ?Because all parties, except perhaps the Maori Party, are still too scared to depart from the failed neo-liberal experiment, the cornerstone of which is of course "tax is bad" and "other peoples profits are good for you too".All has been proven to be b/s and counterproductive for the common good.

       @CommissarMatis The cruise ship industry is definitely something we do without and should avoid like the plague. Everything about it is unsustainable. Where ever they go they cause adverse effects.With some very few exceptions, they are massive consumption and entertainment machines and their sole commercial purpose is to on-sale. I find the entire concept decadent, all things considered.
