If there are no serious legal consequences for trying to toss a presidential election, let's get to it! "Being the better person" isn't working. We're unilaterally disarming in the face of brute force - with the results you'd expect.

@futurebird @Outpatientzero I left after I was suspended twice for outspoken leftism. My engagement plummeted to nothing, except I was overrun by thousands of hooker-bots. I didn't quit. I was bounced. I tried Gab, thinking surely I'll have "absolute free speech" there. Yet, amidst all the horrible Nazis, I found myself behind a paywall after a couple of months of correcting fake Christian fascists. Mastodon has been the free-est free speech platform for me.

@futurebird I met my wife in college. She was dating a friend who complained about her incessantly - always desperate to get her to "commit" (put out). He eventually dumped her, but I stayed friends with her, and after a year passed, we started spending more time together. I don't know what he was complaining about. (Didn't know what he had.)
