@barti_slatfass I love this, because I follow a lot of politics (to my mind necessary, but often maddening), and now I can alternate between that and a cat pic, or a waterfall, nature scene, beautiful vista, someone's cute dog. @HeidiCuda My mom is 94, and she's not picking up as much nuance. She constantly says she "doesn't know what to think" about political issues. Someone raised on radio and newspapers has no defenses in the social media age.

@StillIRise1963 @CStamp @andrewpazniewski @statmonkey I gave Musk Twitter a chance, and I left after seeing an Anne Frank "joke" that still sits with me. I won't wallow in other people's depravity. Anyone who says they stay as a rebel either ignores (likely), or doesn't understand, that Twitter controls who sees your posts, and only you and your dog will see your pithy comment.

@grammargirl Suggestion: Use network folders and make shortcuts of them on the desktop (right click on the folder icon and it should be an option). It keeps things organized, and your folders are also backed up, so you are less likely to lose things in the event of a shutdown.

@grammargirl If you live in the Midwest, that can always be a question mark. I don't use AC much (maybe 3 total weeks/year), and I try to live by the rule that I don't use the heat and the AC in the same week, but I've cracked a few times.
