       I’m hesitant to watch the #WheelOfTimeSeries for one reason:  that’s not what those characters look like.This has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with this being a very large fantasy world with people that have existed purely in my mind, and they just don’t look like that.And I know that if I watch it, those familiar “faces” in my mind will be replaced with those of the actors, and, while it might sound silly, that saddens me a bit.

       I would probably feel differently if I had read them years ago, and maybe if I was just starting off and didn’t care about spoilers.I’ll watch it anyway, both because I love the story and think it would be super cool to see some things…And I’m trying to get at least one of my daughters into it enough where they’ll want to start reading it, too.

       @mttaggart I’ve been trying it out this past week. Sometimes it gets things very much right, but I still have to double-check everything it does because it has made gross errors.I think it’ll be quite some time before “AI” “steals all our jobs” (coding-wise, at least).Perhaps it would be different if it had the specific context in which I’m working, but that does involve a lot of things that can’t be gleaned simply by any text analysis. Still need a knowledgeable human involved.

       @brosandprose there are far too many public figures you feel at least neutral about that turn out to be rapists…Wait… Like what the fuck is wrong with the world where there are so MANY?  Seriously.  WHAT.  THE.  FUCK.It’s sickening.  Like… damnit. It’s good enough to make people ashamed of their gender, so many are so horrible…So to hell with this guy, and all like him.(Yeah, I know, such a controversial opinion🙄) Sorry. I didn’t know about him and it all hit me…
