@foone I _do_ want to make AI, but I want to make truly open AI that isn't owned by anybody, that doesn't need huge computing centres, that isn't controlled by any corporation.

I haven't mentioned it yet, but I have adopted another kitten. Gigi will probably find employment as a barn cat, she hates humans. I have never been the target of so much hissing as in the few weeks she spent with me. The new kitten, Momo, seems to like humans, although she's still a bit shy after only two nights over here. Last night, she was hiding under my bed but talking to me. "Mew.""Hello Momo.""Mew.""Momoooo.""Mew."Every now and then, she would come out from under the bed, run around, look at me, look at things, look at me again, and vanish under the bed again. So sorry, no photos yet, she's not staying in one place for long enough. Maybe I can catch a video eventually.

@catsalad I'm not interested in streaming sites, but which torrent sites are there to, er, avoid? Other than 1337x, YTS, TPB, EZTV, or Nyaa for anime? Oh, and ebooks, of course. Are there any mirrors or alternative domains for LibGen, BookFi, Anna's Archive, etc., that I need to be aware of?

It looks like #Linux is finally winning the OS war, and #Windows is collapsing, becoming just another OS and not THE OS anymore. @Nonilex They're never trying to distract, nothing they do is a distraction, everything is something they actually want to do. What they're trying to do is overwhelm their enemies (i.e., more than 1/3 of all Americans) by doing it all at once so nobody can pay attention to it all.

@futurebird My smartphones never get cracked screens because I always put them in protective cases with a lot of rubber around the edges and a magnetically closed lid. However, they always die after 4-6 years, usually a chip burns out or something like that, and repairing them would be more expensive than just replacing them.
